Hayden's 4H group had the opportunity to tour the city of Marysville's public service buildings...Gigi came along and took time to show Mayor Schmenk all the goodies in her purse during the tour ~ We had a great time!

Sawyer's Official Birthday ~ April 5, 2010

Sawyer wanted a very laid back, low-key kind of 8th birthday ~ We spent his actual birthday just doing what he loves most, hanging out with his buddies, the Eddie boys and shooting baskets ~ He recieved enough money from family and friends and got a basketball hoop for the house...He uses it each and every day! Later on in the evening we went and practiced baseball ~ It was a great end to a perfect Sawyer "B" birthday ~ He is such a wonderful person :)

We spent Easter at Gary and Janet's ~ Gigi participated in the Pepper Court egg hunt ~ She is pictured below counting her goods with Mabry, the next door neighbor ~ The kids also look forward to coloring eggs each year with GG and II ~ Their eggs turned out absolutely beautiful this year ~ The hard boiled egg pictured by itself was made by Gigi at Pre-K :) and get a load of my GORGEOUS boys! They are just growing up so fast which makes me sad but considering they are so good-looking not to mention kind, smart and wonderful athletes, I will try to focus on all the positives ~

A Romantic Weekend Away ~ The Biltmore

The last week in March Brandon and I traveled to Asheville, NC to visit the historic Biltmore Estate ~ Gary and Janet took the kids for three days and we enjoyed some couple time ~ It was very nice ~ We spent Saturday night in downtown Asheville looking around ~ We had dinner at Mamacita's which is a unique Mexican burrito shop just like Chipotle but with a twist like mashed sweet potatoe toppings ~ We had dessert on the "Double D" double decker coffee and dessert shop ~ We spent Sunday touring the Vanderbilt's very elaborate home and estate before heading back on Monday so I could be back for my Econ. class ~ The only downside to the trip was it rained, but it also rained a lot on our honeymoon and we managed ~ It was a great time to reconnect and remind ourselves just how much we really like one another ~ We are so very lucky!
